Combo Classes

30 minutes of dance, 30 minutes of gymnastics, and a whole lot of fun.

Developed by our founder and former competitive gymnast, Deanna, Combo Classes focus on three major points: confidence development, gross-motor skills growth, and positive social interactions with new friends! The 30-minute gymnastics portion focuses on building flexibility and strength while the 30-minute dance portion focuses on rhythm and coordination.

Fold out panel mats on a dance studio floor? That’s a thing of the past.

Heart & Soul Combo studios are customized to provide a sport standard experience for kids! Gymnastics rooms are built to contain mid-to-full sized equipment on carpet-bonded foam flooring. Dance rooms are outfitted with top of the line marley flooring, wall bars, and full length mirrors. To encourage play-based learning, studios are themed on curriculum for the month. (Bear hunt on the beam, anyone?)

Ready to find a Combo class?

  • Combo classes are thirty minutes of dance and thirty minutes of gymnastics. They’re available for kids 12 months through eight years old, grouped by one year of age. Both portions of class follow progressive curriculum to encourage kids to build a strong foundation for their strength and coordination.

  • In a typical dance studio, a preschool gymnastics class centers around pull out panel mats and mobile equipment for class. At Heart & Soul, preschool dance and gymnastics are elevated to a true experience in custom built rooms with mid-to-full size equipment.

  • Class is thirty minutes of dance and thirty minutes of gymnastics every week! Depending on your child’s age you can currently sign them up for a Classic Combo (ballet/tap + gymnastics) or Hip Hop Combo (hip hop + gymnastics).

  • Combo classes are $105/month for a one-hour a week class. (Tuition automatically processes on the first day of the month until a drop request is submitted!)

  • Yes! Just like our other programs, Combo classes have a dress code.

Students can wear a black leotard with convertible pink/nude tights or black athletic shorts and a black t-shirt.

All gymnastics classes are barefoot, and dance classes require either ballet and tap shoes (Intro to Dance) or studio sneakers (Hip Hop). Studio sneakers are any tennis shoes and sneakers that are used exclusively for dance.

Where should we buy shoes for dance classes?

We do not require your dancer’s shoes to be purchased from a specific outlet!

Walmart, Target, and Amazon usually have the best deals on all three types of shoes (ballet shoes, tap shoes, and studio sneakers). Your nearest second-hand children’s clothing store typically always has a few pairs of tap and ballet shoes too!
